Axiom's smallest bookshelf speaker, the affordable M2, is distinguished by unusually musical and natural sound. Winner of the SoundStage! Reviewer's Choice Award, the M2 delivers smooth convincing bass, highly detailed treble, and extremely realistic-sounding male and female vocals that put the performance right in your room. The M2 features a 5.25-inch aluminum-cone woofer - unheard of in this price category - and crystal clear 1-inch titanium dome tweeter. You'll be amazed at the articulation of guitar strings and delicate overtones that are reproduced by these little dynamos.
3-Dimensional Sound
"I was stunned the first time I played the M2 ... Axiom has scored big-time. An inexpensive, micro-sized super-achiever." – Doug Schneider, SoundStage.com
This diminutive 11.5-inch-tall speaker delivers a high-end three-dimensional soundstage in an elegant, small cabinet. Pair the M2's with a subwoofer for an unbeatable combination in small to medium rooms, dens and dorms!
"The M2 and EP125 make a superb combination in a small room system... the M2 is a legend in the making." – Kevin Hunt, GoodSound.com
Customers and reviewers alike are thrilled with the performance of this speaker - at last you don't need to compromise quality to get audiophile sound in a small package. How do we do it? 25 years of audio research have gone into making a speaker that is compact yet capable of impressive stereo reproduction, as well as anchoring a home theater system.
These eye-catching speakers are 8 ohms and therefore easy to power with any amplifier, whether solid-state or tube. The asymmetrical anti-standing-wave tapered shape of the cabinet is highly resistant to resonances that can degrade sound quality in other speakers.
You don't have to take our word for it - audition these speakers in your own home. The M2s come with a 30-day in-home trial, a five-year warranty and free shipping.

It can be confusing when you look at a line up of speakers: how do you know which ones to get? Do you choose based on available space? Desired volume? Whether or not they need a sub?
Great questions! Andrew answers those and a few more in this week's video. He takes us on a tour of Axiom's current bookshelf speaker line up and explains the design philosophy and recommended use cases behind each.
Questions We Get All the Time
What size room do these work in?
Best for: dens, small living rooms, bedrooms.
How much power does my receiver need for these speakers?
Very efficient: use with any receiver or amplifier.
If it's not already, the M2v2 should be considered a classic... Axiom has knocked this one clear out of the park... they get my highest recommendation.
As I listened I was digging out old records and CDs just to hear how they sounded playing over the M2s. Rarely does a speaker draw that kind of enthusiasm from me, particularly a small, inexpensive model.

The M2 and EP125 make a superb combination in a small room system . . . the M2 is a legend in the making.
The M2 v4 is competitive with much more expensive speakers of similar size, and when you listen, you will never feel like you were purchasing to a price point. In a word, they sound expensive.
